The Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Sangola, was established on 25 July 1960 to control the regulated agricultural produce sales system and started its actual functioning on 17 July 1962. The functioning of the market committee is carried out as per the Maharashtra Agricultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Act, 1963. The main objective of the market committee is to provide justice in the purchase and sale of agricultural products of farmers and to fulfill their needs accordingly and to get the right price for the agricultural products.

These include asphalt and cement roads, farmers and porters' buildings, electricity, toilets, clean drinking water for animals and farmers, shelter sheds for farmers, auction houses, traders and commercial stalls have been built in the pomegranate market, a warehouse corporation facility for storing goods for farmers by sweetening the chaff, and a mortgage loan facility for agricultural products due to the falling prices of agricultural products through the market committee. There are iron pegs for tying animals, as well as shelter sheds for tying animals. Separate arrangements have been made for goats and sheep. Also, HP Company's petrol, diesel and CNG pumps are running on Miraj Pandharpur Road of the organization.
Under the guidance of Hon'ble MLA Dr. Bhai Late Ganpatraoji Deshmukh Saheb, when farmers were in trouble, the market committee responded to the government's challenge and started a fodder depot for animals in 2011 during the drought. In 2019, when a flood situation arose in Kolhapur and Sangli districts, the organization provided financial assistance. At the same time, the pandemic disease like Corona, which has besieged the world and turned human life upside down, in such a situation, the laborers were not even getting two meals a day. At that time, kits of essential items were delivered to 2103 families.
